Friday 08/06/90 – Jamie is not well
Jamie was sick, so we had a visit to the doctor.
Over the weekend Jamie, Hughan and Willem had some great moments together. Willem played cricket on the Saturday so we all went and watched.
At the cricket club they have a playground for the children with an old car in it. There is also a boat Jungle gym, that Hughan had a great time on. It has a swivel seat, steering wheel, a ladder and a slide, which as you can imagine kept him very busy.
Jamie and Hughan also went on the seesaw.
Poor Jamie, at the end of the day, was stung by a bee on his tongue. He picked up his cool drink to have a drink and there was a bee inside. He is okay, but as you can imagine he got himself into quite a state.
(I started this website to help other patents with deaf children through our experience. Our son Hughan was born in 1988 and was diagnosed profoundly deaf at 14 months old. We kept a Diary, so his progress could be tracked between our lessons, as we were living in Gaborone in Botswana and traveled every 3 months to the Carel du Toit Centre in Cape Town.)
